What is a Petition/Application?
The right to petition is safeguarded by Article 74 of our Constitution. All citizens possess the right to submit their requests and complaints to public institutions through a petition. A petition is defined as a signed document, submitted in writing by individuals, whether to official or private bodies, to the competent authority of the relevant institution or organization, conveying their requests or complaints. A petition may be drafted by a single individual or by a collective group.
How to Draft a Petition/Application?

We can enumerate the mandatory elements that must be present in a petition under six headings: date, name of the authority, subject matter, signature, name and surname of the petitioner/applicant, and the signature of the person drafting the petition. Let us now examine how a petition is generally drafted:
Firstly, you should procure plain, unlined white paper, preferably A4 size. The petition may be typed using a computer, typewriter, or similar devices, or it may be handwritten. If you choose to handwrite your petition, we recommend using pens with blue or black ink. The heading of the petition should be addressed to the institution or authority to which the request or complaint pertains. The request or complaint must be articulated simply and clearly in the body of the text. Throughout the petition, a serious and respectful tone and style must be maintained. The submitted request or complaint must be lawful, supported by evidence pertaining to the specific case, and its grounds must be clearly set forth.
If the purpose of your petition is to inform a superior authority, the text should conclude with a phrase such as (I respectfully submit this matter for your information). If your objective is for the superior authority to resolve an issue, it may conclude with (I respectfully request that the necessary action be taken). If authorization is required for a procedure, you may conclude your text with (I respectfully request your permission). The place and date must be specified at the end of the text.
The petitioner's/applicant's name and surname must be stated in the lower right-hand corner of the petition, followed by their signature. Finally, if there are any documents to be appended to your petition, these documents must be listed item by item under the heading (Annexes) at the very end of the petition. 1) Single Course Examination Application
Some universities grant students who have failed courses during the semester the right to retake the course under certain conditions. This right may be granted for a single course or for three courses, in which case the examination is referred to as a three-course examination. Generally, the primary condition sought by universities is that passing the examination for the course in question would lead to graduation.
